Swallowing Disorders : An endoscopic exam is an office procedure that involves viewing the throat and vocal cord in order to determine and assess the pathology caused by laryngopharyngeal reflux. 

Functional endoscopy may be performed during the swallowing of food, to evaluate the anatomy and any pathology that may be responsible for the difficulty in swallowing.
