We need to explain that the ears are overly sensitive because the brain volume-control is stuck at the level\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 18.6667px;\">&#8220;high&#8221;. Therefore,<\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0our goal is to reduce the volume-control setting and restore it to a normal range.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">We encourage patients to slowly reduce the use of ear plugs because studies have found that their daily use will result in reduced sound tolerance. Also, we encourage patients to gradually increase their exposure to sound in safe and predictable environments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 120px;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jB8vp2J8_V4?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Management_of_Tinnitus_and_Hyperacusis\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 18pt;\">Management of Tinnitus and Hyperacusis<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">At EYASIS center we recommend EY-LLLT (Low level laser therapy) along with an<a href=\"https:\/\/www.satory.gr\/en\/page-medical-acupuncture\/\"> acupuncture<\/a> protocol for <a href=\"https:\/\/ent.gr\/en\/neuro-otology-hyperacusis\/tinnitus-and-hyperacusis\/\">tinnitus and hyperacusis<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">EY-LLLT treatment is applied to the external auditory canal and induces bio-stimulation directly on the connective tissue in the ear. This results in improved oxygenation and increased immunity in order to rapidly regenerate the auditory cells. Thus, acupuncture as a holistic therapy will enhance the treatment of intra-aural EY-LLLT therapy and help reduce stress, anxiety and fear.
