If this system is impaired <a href=\"https:\/\/ent.gr\/en\/vertigo-dizziness-2\/\">vertigo<\/a>, dizziness and balance disorders may occur.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Balance_is_determined_by_a_complex_combination_of_information_flowing_into_the_brain_from_the_eyes\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 18pt;\">Balance is determined by a complex combination of information flowing into the brain from:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 18pt;\">the eyes,<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">Vestibular Disorders<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">Joints (proprioception), and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">Labyrinth (inner ear).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">The Labyrinth: records the direction of motion, that is,\u00a0 rotation, front-back, right-left, up and down. The labyrinth is a\u00a0complex system of bone and cartilage, and within it resides a network of\u00a0semicircular\u00a0canals. The canals are filled with fluid.
