Vocal sounds may be weak, breathy, scratchy, or husky, and the pitch or quality of the voice may change.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">Hoarseness is most often caused by a problem of the vocal cords, which are part of the voice box (larynx) in\u00a0the throat.
