This Virus spreads by skin-to-skin contact and oral sex may infect the mouth or throat. This is most commonly known as oral HPV.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">Oral HPV often has no symptoms. Hence, this means that people don\u2019t realize they\u2019re infected and are less likely to take the steps necessary to limit the spread of the disease.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica;\">Furthermore, this type of HPV can turn into oropharyngeal cancer, which is rare. Cancer cells form in the throat, the tongue, tonsils, and pharynx walls. These cells can develop from oral HPV. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Early_symptoms_of_oropharyngeal_cancer_include\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 18pt;\">Early symptoms of oropharyngeal cancer include:<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">trouble swallowing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">constant earaches<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">coughing up blood<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">unexplained <a href=\"https:\/\/www.satory.gr\/en\/weight-loss\/\">weight loss<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">enlarged lymph nodes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ent.gr\/en\/ent-the-larynx\/hoarse-voice\/\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">hoarseness<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hows_oral_HPV_diagnosed\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 18pt;\">How\u2019s oral HPV diagnosed?<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14pt;\">No test is available to determine HPV of the mouth or oral cavity.
